MCP

MCP servers add tools (GitHub, databases, browsers, and anything that speaks the protocol).

/mcps

Configure servers in ~/.supercharge/config.toml under the MCP table your build documents in /docs → MCP Servers, or install them from a plugin. A server named in an agent profile's frontmatter wins over the same name in config.toml when that feature is present in your binary.

Headless runs keep MCP meta-tools even when --tools limits built-in tools, unless you deny them.

File-backed tool arguments: the use_tool tool accepts tool_input_file (a JSON arguments object) or a JSON file invocation, so a large payload does not have to sit inline in the prompt.

Skills

A skill is a folder with SKILL.md. User-invocable skills show up as slash commands. /skills lists what is loaded.

Plugins

A plugin bundles skills, commands, agents, hooks, and MCP servers.

/plugins
/marketplace
/plugins install <source>
/plugins uninstall <name>
/plugins update
/plugins reload

In the terminal UI the modal does the same work. Trust is separate from install. Read the hooks guide inside /docs before you enable a hook that runs a shell command.

Hooks

Hooks are scripts or HTTP callbacks around tool calls (before and after).

/hooks

The shell also accepts /hooks-list, /hooks-trust, /hooks-add, /hooks-remove, and /hooks-untrust. The pager folds those into the modal. Trusting a project is an explicit step. Opening the modal does not trust it.

Project rules

Put an AGENTS.md in a repo or a subdirectory. The agent loads it for work in that tree. A nearer file adds to the parent instructions rather than replacing the whole product prompt.

--rules appends text to the built-in system prompt for one process. --system-prompt-override replaces the built-in prompt for one process. The Supercharge App uses the override flag for a per-session prompt and --rules when a provider should only append text.

Subagents

The model can spawn a child session with the subagent tool. /config-agents manages definitions. /personas edits personas a child can wear.

Block children on a headless run:

supercharge -p "Fix the parser" --disallowed-tools "Agent"
supercharge -p "Fix the parser" --disallowed-tools "Agent(explore)"

/dashboard is the live list of sessions. It is not the definition editor.
